YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO IT ALONE.

DEVOTION

With all the madness and greed that we are encompassed in today, the first resort for anyone would be to do things on their own. We decide to avoid disappointment or hurt by handling things our own way and to the best of our ability. Good news however, you don't have to do it alone!

You don't have to walk life's paths by your own strength; Jesus is available! He can be your energy, your support and your encouragement
as you encounter triumphs and trials alike.

A good example in the word is the prophet Elijah. Read through 1 Kings 19:1-18. From it, you could say Elijah had right to walk out on his prophetic office; being the only standing prophet of the LORD and having the Queen baying for your blood like crazy. However, you see the Lord sending an angel to Elijah with bread and water...not just once. This part is very crucial because the food gave Elijah the strength to carry on with his journey and hence his mission as a prophet, up until he was carried into heaven in a chariot. I strongly believe that after the resurrection, Jesus Christ became the "bread and water" (From Elijah's story) that every christian should receive along this journey of life. In all honesty, nobody said that the journey would be easy but then again, nobody said you should walk alone. Nobody said you should carry yourself. God understands that it is not easy; that's why He has given us His only Son, who will guard and guide us all through our lives.

Make a sober choice today. Give yourself fully to Jesus Christ and let Him be the "fuel" that keeps you running the good race. Let Him be the
strength that keeps you fighting the good fight. Stop holding on. Just be held.
